Day 01 - 01st March

Arrival & Transfer to Trincomalee

Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you'll be warmly greeted by SriLankan Airlines, who will accompany you on a scenic journey towards Trincomalee, a charming coastal town nestled on Sri Lanka's northeastern shores.

The drive offers glimpses of the island's lush landscapes and bustling villages. We'll make a brief stop at a picturesque spot enroute for refreshments and to freshen up. Continue your journey and check in at the hotel.

Day 02 – 02nd March

Sightseeing in Trincomalee

Your morning in Trincomalee begins with leisurely enjoyment of the serene coastal ambiance at your hotel. After a relaxed breakfast, your guide will meet you to embark on an exciting sightseeing tour of Trincomalee. The tour typically starts with a visit to the historic and cultural landmarks such as the Koneswaram Temple, perched on a cliff with panoramic views of the ocean. You'll also explore the vibrant local markets, where you can immerse yourself in the colors and aromas of Sri Lankan life.

Following the cultural tour, in the evening you'll head for a memorable boat ride to Pigeon Island National Park, a renowned marine sanctuary. This uninhabited island is famed for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to snorkel in the pristine waters, discovering the colorful coral gardens and swimming alongside exotic fish species. The island's serene beaches also offer a perfect spot for relaxation and soaking up the tropical sun.

On completion return to the hotel and the evening is yours to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

Day 03 – 03rd March

Proceed to Sigiriya

Your day begins with an early morning departure from Trincomalee towards the historic region of Sigiriya, renowned for its ancient rock fortress and rich cultural heritage. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes, offering glimpses of rural life and lush greenery typical of Sri Lanka's heartland.

Upon arrival in Sigiriya, you'll delve into the local culture with a village tour. Led by a knowledgeable guide, this immersive experience allows you to interact with villagers, gain insights into traditional farming practices, and witness everyday life in rural Sri Lanka. Following the village tour, prepare for a delightful cooking demonstration where you'll learn to prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes using fresh ingredients sourced locally. You'll discover the secrets behind traditional recipes and enjoy the flavors of your culinary creations.

After a satisfying lunch, the adventure continues with an excursion to Minneriya National Park, famed for its abundant wildlife and picturesque landscapes. Embark on a thrilling safari through the park, where you'll have the opportunity to spot elephants, deer, birds, and other native species in their natural habitat. The park's scenic reservoir, surrounded by lush greenery, provides a serene backdrop for wildlife viewing and photography.

Day 04 – 04th March

Transfer to Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed your journey towards Nuwara Eliya, a hill station nestled in Sri Lanka's central highlands. As you depart, the route takes you through breathtaking landscapes, offering glimpses of tea plantations, cascading waterfalls, and mist-covered mountains.


Enroute to Nuwara Eliya, you'll make a stop at a spice garden where you can learn about the island's rich spice heritage. Guided by experts, you'll explore aromatic gardens showcasing cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and other exotic spices. Discover their medicinal properties and traditional uses, immersing yourself in Sri Lanka's vibrant agricultural practices, followed by lunch.


Continuing your journey, the next stop is Kandy, where you'll visit the renowned Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa). This sacred site houses a relic of the Lord Buddha's tooth, revered by Buddhists worldwide. Explore the temple's intricate architecture, serene surroundings, and witness religious ceremonies that provide insight into Sri Lanka's spiritual heritage.

After the temple visit, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England" for its cool climate and colonial architecture. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the day at leisure.

Day 05 – 05th March

Sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast you'll embark on an invigorating trek to Single Tree Hill. This scenic hike takes you through lush tea estates and offers panoramic views of Nuwara Eliya town, surrounded by mist-covered mountains. As you ascend, you'll witness the beauty of Sri Lanka's highlands unfold before you, with opportunities to capture breathtaking photos along the way.

In the afternoon, continue your exploration with a visit to a local tea factory and plantation. Here, you'll gain insight into the meticulous process of Ceylon tea production, from plucking the tender tea leaves to their processing and packaging. A knowledgeable guide will explain the details of tea-making, highlighting Nuwara Eliya's significance in producing some of the world's finest teas.

Day 06 – 06th March

Proceed to Ella

Checkout from your hotel in Nuwara Eliya, as you prepare for an unforgettable train journey to Ella. Boarding the train, you'll embark on one of the most scenic rail routes in the world, winding through lush tea plantations, misty mountains, and verdant valleys. As the train gently traverses the picturesque landscapes, you'll have ample opportunities to capture stunning photos and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Sri Lanka's hill country.

Upon arrival in Ella, known for its laid-back vibe and breathtaking scenery, check into your hotel where you can unwind and refresh. After settling in, head to Ravana Pool Club, a popular spot known for its relaxed atmosphere, scenic views, and exotic cocktails. Day 07 – 07th March

Proceed Tissamaharama

After breakfast depart for Tissamaharama, a journey that promises both scenic beauty and cultural delights. Your first stop enroute is the magnificent Ravana Falls, where you can marvel at the cascading waters amidst lush greenery. Take some time to explore the area, snap photos, and appreciate the natural splendor before continuing your journey. Then make a pit stop at a roadside shop renowned for its freshly made roti and curry. Indulge in this authentic Sri Lankan culinary experience, savoring the flavors of traditional dishes prepared with local ingredients.

Upon arrival in Tissamaharama, check into your hotel where you can relax and refresh. Located amidst serene surroundings, your accommodation provides the perfect base for your evening adventure.

Later in the afternoon, embark on an exhilarating jeep safari at Yala National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes. Led by an experienced guide, venture deep into the park's wilderness, keeping an eye out for majestic elephants, elusive leopards, and a myriad of bird species. The park's expansive grasslands, dense forests, and sparkling lakes offer ample opportunities for wildlife spotting and photography, making it a thrilling safari experience.

Day 08 – 08th March

Proceed to Hambantota and join the cyclists

As you depart Tissamaharama, the drive to Hambantota offers glimpses of rural life and stunning landscapes typical of southern Sri Lanka. Arriving in Hambantota in the early afternoon, you'll head to the Shangri-La Hotel, a luxurious retreat overlooking the Indian Ocean. Here, you'll join the cyclists for a delightful lunch, enjoying a variety of culinary delights amidst the serene coastal setting.

Late evening drive to Colombo, commercial city of Sri Lanka and overnight stay in Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo.

Day 09 – 09th March

No holiday in Sri Lanka is complete without a visit to the cosmopolitan capital city Colombo. This is one city stay you won’t forget as your last night in Sri Lanka will be spent at the magnificently opulent 5* Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, central to all the attractions, sight and sounds of the city, the perfect place to end your Sri Lankan cycling adventure.

Evening gather in the hotel for the farewell ceremony hosted by SriLankan Airlines.

Day 10 – 10th March

Breakfast in hotel and proceed to airport for the departure flight.
